Information We Collect
We collect the following personal information when you apply for an IDP: full name, date of birth, email address, phone number, home country, delivery address (for physical kits), passport photo, driving license photo, and profile photo. We also collect payment information (processed securely by Razorpay/PayPal — we never store card details).
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to: process your IDP application, generate your IDP documents, ship physical kits (NFC Smart Kit orders), send you email communications related to your application, and improve our services. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on AWS infrastructure (RDS for database, S3 for document storage) with encryption at rest and in transit. Documents uploaded to S3 are accessible only via time-limited presigned URLs. We retain your data for as long as your IDP is valid, plus an additional 2 years for legal compliance.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (via Clerk) and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@drivinginternationalassociation.com. We will respond within 30 days.
